Having your hair done can become very expensive. I know I had missed the process of professional dye and a good style. My finances simply would not allow for a process nearing $100. So I volunteered to be a hair color model for a stylist who was interviewing at a local salon and I paid nothing but tip for a stunning color.
To find listings to be a hair model, simply check craigslist in your area in the 'services > beauty' section and search "hair model" or "hair model needed". Just reply to that stylist and you can organize with them to show up and be their canvas- so to speak. :)
This is not for everyone, as you must be open to any stylist and okay with lots of different ideas. You do get to choose your color as a color model and cut models usually are told what styles are offered. Most color models are only offered the color and a blowdry afterward, but my services today included even more. I was given a beautiful Black/Blue shade of color, shampoo, conditioning treatment, blowdry, and style. My stylist was able to showcase her work and I love my new look!
So if you're up for an adventure and on a budget, I highly recommend checking your local listings!
