This is the second book in the Sky series by William Amerman. You can see my review for the first book on the "book reviews" tab, as well. It delivered on stepping up an already solid story.
We get some new characters, my favorite of which being Detritus himself, and the continuation of characters from the first book. Nick's development in this bizarre, monster-filled, mechanical death-scape is really interesting in contrast to when he is introduced in the first book. It's a very adult story, and I do need to advise you that the content is not for the conservative reader.
Amerman brings us a cerebral read that demands all of your attention to the story and the Machine. I found this installment to be fascinating. I enjoyed that there was more depth to it than similar-genre books.
I love to share opinions and here you can find opinions on the books I'm reading!
